Question: I have been using wood chips for some time now, but problems with mold have caused me to seriously consider using rubber mulch. I am not very knowledgeable about this material, and would like to know if rubber much can harbor mold?
Answer: Wood mulch is a living organism. Wood lends itself to have mold. Rubber mulch does not produce the mold like wood chips. Since Rubber isn't living, the mold has no reason to grow on the rubber.
